Our focus at Gracie United – Team Jucao Red River is to uplift students to reach their own personal goals. We are here to help students, not ours. From men, women, kids, older adults, competitors, and hobbyists, everyone finds a place here. We have built our Jiu Jitsu school to offer the best experience in Pineville for each individual student. That starts with our staff, who remain patient and welcoming while pushing students to be their best through motivation and discipline. All our coaches are battle-tested, previously competing in and winning many high-quality events. History
Since opening our doors in 2018, Gracie United – Team Jucao Red River has grown into a tight-knit community rooted in service, discipline, and friendship — a reflection of founders Tobi and Christos Konnaris’ backgrounds in education and the military. Tobi and Christos opened our doors as newlyweds and have brought the family-dynamic into the school. These efforts have led to Gracie United – Team Jucao Red River winning the Community Choice Awards EIGHT years in a row! This comes as Christos is also a Multi-Worlds, IBJJF Worlds, and PANs medalist and has won double gold at American National. Even with the accomplishments, we have no plans to slow down. Tobi and Christos are continuing their journey to serve the Pineville community through the guidance of Jiu Jitsu.

Our group of instructors are equipped to help all our students. Each of our main coaches is battle-tested, competing in and winning some of the most competitive BJJ events. As well as being black-belt led, we have experience in the military and education, providing an all-around perspective to make each student their personal best.

Programs
We offer Jiu Jitsu classes for anyone wanting to train. No matter your skill level, you can join the class for your age group. Our program splits up our classes between Mat Gators (4-7 years old), Youth Jiu Jitsu (8-12 years old), and Adult Jiu Jitsu (13+). We also have Adult Kickboxing on Wednesdays as well as a Home School program! Mat Gators (4-7 years old)
Our Mat Gators class is for our youngest students. We teach kids between 4-7 years old many different skills, including: motor skills, balance, discipline, and how to operate in an organized class setting. This is a great choice to help your children develop as they enter school life.
Youth Jiu Jitsu (8-12 years old)
Our Youth Jiu Jitsu classes begin to teach foundational BJJ skills. We work on ground grappling, self-defense, discipline, and more. Students become empowered and are taught that smaller individuals can fight against larger opponents.
Adult Jiu Jitsu (13+)
Our adult program uses many of the lessons from our youth program, and even more. Students learn grappling and wrestling skills alongside BJJ with a fitness focus. We make sure everyone improves their physical and mental health while learning real-life self-defense.
